COMM Travel (cutting out the middleman) were advertising their fantastic overnight tours and holidays that they have on offer for the remainder of 2016/2017. Cutting out the middleman joined partnership with Houston’s Coaches in September 2015 and together we have been working to provide customers from Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria with fantastic customer service, executive and luxury coach travel and a fun and friendly way of exploring the beautiful sights within the United Kingdom.
Nithcree training were on hand to discuss all the services they provide. Michelle and Jo had lots of freebies to give away and packages discussing all of the training that they can provide; LGV training, car/trailer, driver CPC, forklift etc. Nithcree has gone from strength to strength – we have used Nithcree for their services for a number of years and look forward to continuing working with them for our driver training as required.
Dumfries Limo Hire also attended; showcasing one of their fantastic Hummers. People enjoyed sitting in the hummer and seeing all the features the stunning vehicle had to offer. Dumfries Limo Hire is one of the largest limo and hummer hire companies in the area and have an amazing fleet including wedding cars and limousines – executive and vintage.
We also had a bouncy castle, assault course and large slide from Mr Bounce’s Crazy Castles and face painting and glitter tattoos from Event Vision. The fun filled activities provided a lot of entertainment for the children. Luckily the weather stayed dry for the duration of the event.
Most importantly the event was a chance to raise money for a very worthwhile charity, Dumfries and Galloway SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity) Dumfries and Galloway SANDS is a voluntary group of parents who have all experienced the death of a baby, either during pregnancy or soon after the birth. They are dedicated to supporting anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby. They understand everyone grieves differently – while some may be happy to talk, others take comfort from quietly reading about others experiences. They provide a telephone helpline, email support, SANDS groups and an online forum. In order to raise the money we held a raffle which included over 70 prizes; provided kindly by local businesses. Our fundraising on the day allowed us to raise £1,363.25.
